The Records Department is open 8 AM to noon and 1 PM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. The City of Muncie requires that all requests for public records be made on the "Request Form" provided by the city. The form must be completed in its entirety and returned by mail or in person to the Communications Director at 300 N. High Street, Muncie, IN 47305. Phone: 765-747-4853 ext. 303.
The records department has limited hours and closes for lunch from noon to 1 PM.
You can also submit the APRA request form online at the city's online portal. The fee is $0.10 per one-sided page for standard 8.5 by 11 inch paper. Payment must be made in advance by certified check or cash to the City of Muncie.
The online form lets you submit requests electronically, though you must still identify records with reasonable detail.
